I bought some 10GB RJ-45 cards a few years ago and finally got around to writing a review as I'm about to order another one. I believe the cards I got back then were revision 2 cards, currently probably revision 3 (but don't quote me on that). Revision 2 cards were not automatically installed by Windows 10 - I had to download the driver from Trendnet. I don't know if v3 cards are installed automatically. I use it on my home network connected to a 10 gigabit switch to keep My Documents and other folders on my home network in one central location. For that it works fine. I don't remember exact numbers, but I think my card tests were about 6x faster than 1GB (Intel PCIe NICs). Given the limited 10GB choices (commercial networks seem to have largely skipped 10GB in favor of 40GB), I'm happy with the performance of these cards so far. One caveat is the poor performance of Trendnet's offload features. You should disable them immediately as they affect the performance of the card. This has long been reported on chipsets other than Intel, so I'm not really surprised. All in all it's a really good upgrade over 10 Gbe and doesn't cost a lot of money.
