I haven't used a drill yet, so I didn't rate the battery life. I like the Tattle Tail's LEDs that show the charge level. Otherwise, the drill is ergonomically very comfortable and the balance is good, just like a brushless drill. The brush bit is a bit lighter than the top brand bits compared to the bit… That's a plus. for long-term project use... I wanted to buy extra batteries but the price was prohibitive! Next to the POPOMAN brushless drill was this POPOMAN brush drill with the same accessories. BASIC had 2 batteries and a charger etc and cost less than buying a spare battery. So now I have a brushless drill and a brushed drill, plus 4 batteries and 2 chargers plus miscellaneous stuff! No matter which fails (hopefully none), I'm in good shape for the long run.
