Worked exactly how I needed it. I needed this to remove some type of coding that I honestly don't understand because my four year old HDTV suddenly refused to display videos out of the blue and warned that I was infringing on copyright. Remember I just used my TV like I have for years to display the picture from my cable box like I have for years. I have no idea what happened or what went wrong. I wasn't trying to hack anything or bypass a system, it was my same TV using the same cable box and suddenly it became practically useless. However, when this splitter is connected to my cable box and TV, my TV works fine again. Again, this is not a suggestion of abuse or copyright infringement. Looks like either my TV (Mitsubishi) or my cable company crossed their signals wrong and this splitter fixed it. Two things to keep in mind. First, it needs a power source, so plan accordingly (power cord is included), and when it's on, the bright neon blue light is really annoying. So if you're watching TV in a dark room, you'll either have to position it well or cover it with black tape.
