Great concept, dubious use before they flew away

Update: Within 1 week I had both convex mirrors flying right off the mirrors. The fact that both failed at about the same time likely indicates a malfunction in the adhesive. I live in a temperate climate and don't leave my bike in the sun and it doesn't get cold. I think the greater risk of falls is compounded by the adjustment piece that allows for a custom fit. If the mirrors were flush with the mirror maybe they would last longer. This is an assumption, not a fact. My Shoei RF-1200 helmet seems to have a narrower horizontal field of view than my Arais, so the blind spot is much larger. it would be too small. But the thing is, even 2.5 inches is actually still too small for me. The convex shape makes all objects very small. And as with any fisheye lens or mirror, objects are much, much closer than they appear. My bike's mirrors have good clarity, no vibration. But the Utopicar's blind spot mirrors hum like crazy at freeway speeds and beyond β€” at least they did on mine on the adjustable plastic adapters. Because they are so small, the buzz made nothing possible can't see. Mirrors would probably be fine if you didn't use adapters. Just attach them directly to the mirror. Adapters aren't that useful anyway because they move at high speeds. , which can be quite dangerous if you do it while moving. There's also a chance you don't notice them moving and you think you're clean when you're not. I didn't give the product a star because I found the mirrors a bit useful at lower speeds, if they didn't fly off it would take 3-3.5 seconds. resins. You need time to get used to it.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
