OK, spend over $300 on a new sealed LED headlight OR save my suitcase and for less than $20 replace the halogen with the halogen LED and carry on. Well I spent less than $20 and couldn't be happier. The light pattern is similar to a halogen lamp, this light has LEDs on three sides and spreads the pattern over the entire reflective surface, just like halogen, but it's much brighter. I set the bike up where I normally set the light's height and it works exactly with no adjustments. Didn't expect anything to move, but different lightbulbs may mean adjustment is needed. Not in this case. I am very happy with the results and would happily recommend this three sided LED.
