Review on THERMOS Stainless King Vacuum-Insulated Food Jar - 47 oz, Matte Steel by Todd Stovall

I use this for cold rather than hot dishes. Fits easily in my sports cupboard and in my book backpack. I pre-chill the thermos and cold cuts (ingredients for sandwiches). The meat plate is placed in the lower plastic container. ice in the upper bin. Always transport or store upright. Really keeps cold cuts much longer than any other container that fits where I put it. Even more if I renew the ice. I can use this to make sandwiches for a few days and a loaf of bread in my locker. Not 5 stars because, as others have pointed out, it is best kept upright. Will tolerate a tip if you are quick to collect. The plastic containers look cheap so I wouldn't be surprised if they can't handle really hot food. But that's not how I use this product.
