I am using an S-Video connection and have found that the screen is much better than a component connection. I only gave 4 stars for "easy to install" because I had to play around with a few to finally get the end result I wanted. I still don't know why, but at first I heard a very loud "buzz" whether I was using S-Video or a component connection, or whether it was set to PAL or NTSC. I felt that neither of these two settings should affect the sound, but that was the only thing I could change on this unit. Also disconnected/connected/changed all wires/cables to this converter. Eventually the buzzing stopped and hasn't come back for a month since I've plugged it in now.
