Okay so I ordered it because it has a format I like (e.g. loads of pockets) and also made of durable materials consists. I have seen other reviews and found that the manufacturer (not the seller, they are resellers so they buy other people's surplus and resell them) has a quality control issue because the reviews on them seem to be split between mine and the customer completely satisfied, or people who are very upset because their product immediately fell apart, arrived with serious defects, or the like. I thought, hey, if I get a good one, great. If I don't, it's a hell of a cheaper mistake than buying something that costs twice as much. So I rolled and got a good one. Packing Notes It's built like a tank, has strong double stitching on all major seams, the zips are exactly what you would expect zips to be, but they seem to fit right. The strap is secure and adjustable, doesn't give way, and is double-wide so you don't have to worry about it digging into your shoulder under heavy loads. The soft part of the strap is even wider and lightly padded. The material is heavy duty denim, mine is black with an even stain, no stains or anything. The stitching is brass/gold and contrasts very well with the black giving it a classy look. The zippers are metal like most zippers, but the really cool thing is the center pocket and the lockable flap. The castle is really interesting. Easy to use with the backpack off but from any other angle it's a real problem and the pocket underneath is perfect for storing wallets etc as it zips closed so you have to open it to get to it to get to the flap, and then unzip it. Thing. Pretty pickpocket proof, I'd say. The other pockets are a good size and what you can't see in the picture is the 'hidden' pocket on the back which can be accessed from the side and is ideal for soft large items like papers or whatnot always is. The main compartment is quite large and quite deep, so that bulky things also fit in. My only complaints are rather minor. 1) They added spam to the package so I had to throw out some unwanted ads. I have no idea why they ship promotional junk with their stuff, but they probably offset some of the cost of their merchandise with advertising fees. 2) It has some totally unnecessary rubber tubing straps that won't snap or anything. You have to cut the nylon to get rid of them. Came with three, got rid of two. Other than that no complaints and to anyone looking at this pack I say if the price is right give it a try you can get a really good one. If this is bad contact them and see what can be arranged. Most companies strive to make customers happy because unhappy customers won't give you money.
