It cannot be trusted that there is enough voltage going through the cable because the connections are faulty.

I have tried this cable and connector set with the WenTop 5050 LED strip Two main issues: The cable interface requires three hands to align the wire in the IDC module and then crimp it. The result does not transmit 12 volts, so the lighting does not work. A cable is useless if it cannot connect. And there is no plug to go from the cord to the WenTop power supply. It really works with this DIY hack. I played around for 3 hours and repeated the connections several times. Not good. Unlike American crimp connectors, they just don't work reliably.
