No batteries means unlimited unsupervised fun for my 3 cats.

This Christmas I bought three toys for my three cats, two of which are battery operated and then another. They like this one the most I think because their persona doesn't have to turn it on or off for them. In fact, when I watch from afar, I see each of them playing with him in their own way. A cat will see a ball or balls in front of it and will excitedly hit them until they are out of sight. But he doesn't realize that if he moves he can find her and keep playing, so he stares blankly at the toy. My second, much older, cat will see my first cat's dilemma and come to the other side of the toy. and kicks the ball back, but otherwise ignores the toy. My third cat, however, will run toward an unattended toy, frantically fly around moving balls until tired, and then leave, only to return a few hours later. I've only had the toy a few days so the novelty may be wearing off for them, but right now someone is kicking a ball maybe 4 hours a day. That's a lot more time than they spend on two battery powered toys. Yes, and it's solidly built and assembles with a click or two, and the crossbar at the top doubles as a handy handle to move it around. Well designed term. I recommend it.
