My 10.5 year old loves this. We have a size 160 in navy so she can wear school uniform dresses and skirts in the winter. Your legs are warmer in them than in real trousers. They are thick, soft, warm and comfortable and they look great. [I try not to dry them out in the dryer. Sometimes I hang them up damp or dry them on low heat]. We had them in black - they used to be the 140 and 150. The 140 was slim and a bit short, while the 150 was just the right length and comfortable; But my 10 year old has grown a lot so this time I went for 160 and they are still not too big. She's not a fat girl, but she has hips and doesn't like to wear tight clothes.
