I am very careful with my electronics, but the receiver has a tendency to detach from the USB housing. At first you get an intermittent signal, and after a few days it stops working at all. I think the problem is the size of the receiver. Many of the new ones are much smaller. The rest of the station wagon works well. Even though it's a Microsoft product, I use it on my Linux machine and it works fine. The special function keys also do what they should. Microsoft covered it under warranty by replacing it with an updated version for free. The correct warranty service phone number is not easy to find, so keep the instruction manual.
