While I feel like this cube is satisfying, and it works smoothly, I did have to take an electric file and remove some sharp edges from the hinges. Before I did so, I found the sharp edges to be really uncomfortable. Ideally, this extra bit of work would have been completed before I received the cube, but I enjoy it enough that it was well worth it for me to do it myself.I bought the silver to avoid the color wearing off, which other reviewers have mentioned as being an issue.Because of the unfinished edges, I wouldn't be able to send this to someone as a gift, but I would recommend buying it if you, like me, are hard-pressed to find a very heavy infinity cube that has been constructed with a perfectly fluid operation, and have the time/ability to use a super fine electric file to finish all exposed edges of each hinge.If I lose this one, I'll buy another, but I'll sigh a bit before I do.
