I really wanted this fan - I bought this to replace my old fan of the same size, but the plastic casing was quite brittle and falling apart. My criteria for choosing this fan was that it was the right size and that the entire fan case and blades were metal rather than plastic. ok right? It wasn't until about a day after I first plugged it in that I heard a noticeable change in the pitch of the fan while it was running. When I tilted it to the top position, the RPMs dropped enough that I noticed the blades weren't moving as fast. I put some dry lubricant on the moving parts to reduce friction but it didn't improve. I don't think anyone should fix such a new product. Now I need to investigate the cause of the connection problem to get it working again. Not worth it - I would have preferred a different product, so be careful!
