
The idle speed (and therefore the noise) is much higher. The original fans can run completely silently at low speeds to keep the PC quiet when idling. Intervals make the computer noisy. I'll try some 0.40A fans I've found elsewhere and see how they compare. So far I have found a solution to an original fan that started to fail and makes less noise than this new fan. :/
