Tried many USB extenders and hubs. None of them have ever worked 100% of the time. I first found this at work. If our IT department uses them in the thousands of jobs we have, that should be good. So I bought two of these for my desktops. They are cool. There is no perfect! Good weight so they stay in place and the connections are pretty tight. The backlight lets you quickly see which ports are in use and which are open. Will probably buy a few more. Makes it easy to connect anything connected to USB. The price is fair for such a high quality device. Worth every penny plus a little.
