$1,800 Fried Astrophotography Tool

The tool was mounted on a telescope mount. Only the camera, focuser, mount and alignment camera were attached to it. Always felt a little weird, but worked well when dancing the blackout. Then last night he burned and destroyed the ASI120MM pointer camera and the USB connector on the EQ6-R telescope mount. It's a real shame that a $50 USB hub can destroy so many things. It might be okay to charge some devices, but I wouldn't recommend it if it's something valuable.

Started breaking within a week - got a refund

It worked great straight away and felt decent. Its body is all plastic and lightweight, which is what I'm used to from many USB hubs I've tried. I thought the game was over until I used it for a few days. Then a few ports started randomly crashing or shutting down in the middle of meetings during a work day. I sent it back for a refund and got most of my money back (I threw the box away so I guess that's not all).

A USB 3.0 hub that actually supports USB 3.0 – hooray.

Great for audio/midi/production!

This hub is great! 3.0 USB, low latency for audio interfaces, midi devices etc. I've used it with a PreSonus Audiobox USB 96 interface and an Akai MPK249 and had no problems. I even hooked up my GoPro and mixer to another one to test it out myself. still no problem. I can't stress enough how good low latency is for midi and audio interfaces. If you have a home studio and need a USB hub, THIS IS IT. This is the center you need. Just order. You will not regret it!

Excellent USB 3.0 hub!

Tried many USB extenders and hubs. None of them have ever worked 100% of the time. I first found this at work. If our IT department uses them in the thousands of jobs we have, that should be good. So I bought two of these for my desktops. They are cool. There is no perfect! Good weight so they stay in place and the connections are pretty tight. The backlight lets you quickly see which ports are in use and which are open. Will probably buy a few more. Makes it easy to connect anything connected…
