Write a new review. In my previous review, I was concerned that despite the great reviews, the mugs came with a "Made in China" sticker on the bottom and no confirmation that they were lead-free. I thought that was a contradiction. I actually emailed the seller and he assured me that these mugs are as described, 100% lead and cadmium free. They planned to update the record because it was confusing. The mugs are made in China by an American company, hence the "Made in China" sticker. Unfortunately, this is how they keep the price low. Otherwise they would have actually been made here in the US by this company. I like the look of the cups. The style is exactly what I wanted. I find them no heavier than my lightest regular style chunky mugs. Of course, they're not as thin as glass, but they're a nice comfortable thickness. I don't like drinking from a thick mug so these are perfect! They also arrived very well packaged, in excellent condition. Finally, I would like to say how much I appreciate the quick response I received from the seller.
