I ordered this pet door 15 months ago and am SO glad I did. I've bought five more pet doors over the years of having pets, and if I ever need to buy another I'll happily spend the extra money on another Endura door. I have two dogs and a cat that use it every day. (Yes, a cat could use it.) It protects against direct driving rain. The 40-mile wind doesn't even move the flaps. My escape master, German Shepherd/Doberman, can't open a solid door if I slide it in place. And while the flap has definitely had a few scuffs over time, it's just as solid as the day I installed it. By the way, that was the easiest assembly of all the doors we had. Quality parts with tight tolerances and clear and understandable instructions! What a stark contrast to previous pet doors! We were hesitant to pay extra money for an Endura door, but after a disappointing experience with so many doors we decided it was worth a try. We were so glad we did. If you can dig a little into your pocket, you'll be happy too! (I paid full price for my product and did not benefit from my review.)
