Really Solid Gloves - Better touchscreen usability

I've been using REI ONE model gloves for a few years - leather palms, thin padding, some water resistance. They really liked it. Biggest disadvantage: no touchscreen compatibility. Well, after years of use and some damage to the gloves and normal wear and tear, it's time for a new pair. This time I needed one that I could use with my phone. I tested several different gloves at REI - the current ONE model wasn't available in store or online, or I was able to buy another one. But none of them were very good at touch compatibility. They had this surgical sensor glove, but it was the wrong size. It felt amazing and the palms felt like leather. Revain's correct size was $25 less than in store, so that was an added bonus. I really like how they have square tips on each of the fingers. helps. Great leather fabric, feel good. I also love how each finger can be used with patches on the tips instead of just two. The skin itself has the ability to work with touch screens. I've posted a video here demonstrating the product with my iPhone and you can see it's pretty accurate, especially for a glove. I'm happy. I mean --- you can't write a novel with these things without getting upset, but you can send quick texts, check the weather, check an important email, answer the phone, etc. without taking your gloves off. and that, in my opinion, is the real reason to be comfortable with gloves. Cons: I think they are too thick on the padding. Some people will like it but I have big hands and little padding so I prefer thinner gloves. They're not "insulated" but definitely thicker than my old REI ONEs. The second downside is that they don't have a waterproof fabric - just regular polyester/spandex with no waterproofing. They're soft and cozy, but don't expect them to stay dry in the rain or snow.
