Great sensory gloves for outdoor activities

I bought these to replace a previous generation after losing my glove. OR left out the gel lettering and detailing on the back and replaced them with plain stitching. They're a bit tight at first, but after working with them a bit, they look like a good pair of jeans. They hit the sweet spot between being thick enough to keep out the weather and thin enough to be useful for touchscreen operation. I'll stick with the basic features when I have them, but they can be useful even for text messaging

Really Solid Gloves - Better touchscreen usability

I've been using REI ONE model gloves for a few years - leather palms, thin padding, some water resistance. They really liked it. Biggest disadvantage: no touchscreen compatibility. Well, after years of use and some damage to the gloves and normal wear and tear, it's time for a new pair. This time I needed one that I could use with my phone. I tested several different gloves at REI - the current ONE model wasn't available in store or online, or I was able to buy another one. But none of them…

Just ok - Camping

I bought these when I lost a couple of other lightweight sensory gloves that I use in the car. The gloves in the operating room are quite warm and the touch technology works quite well, but I have some problems with it. For me, the gloves fit very tight, almost too tight, but the fingertips are still too big to make the touchscreen operation painless. . I found it very easy to accidentally touch a part of the screen that I don't intend to. Gloves become uncomfortably warm and sticky after more…

Overview and Sizing Guide

These are amazing gloves. They keep my hands warm so I can use my tablet for outdoor work without having to amputate for frostbite. :) Size: From the top crease on my wrist to the bottom crease on my middle finger is approximately 4.25 inches. From this crease to the tip of the middle finger is another 3 and 3/8 inches. I have a medium that works great but is a bit small (resulting in some fingers being a bit webbed). It would probably be better to go with Big.

Warm but too bulky for the phone

These gloves are warm and comfortable. However, due to the extra thickness of insulation, the fingertips are too large and bulky to press on the small areas needed to operate the phone. The fingertip spans more than one label, which almost always activates none or the wrong one. Maybe a tablet, but not a phone. Better to use thin skin-tight split leather gloves (e.g. police gloves) that work just as well on the phone screen. However, you won't be as warm if that's your main concern.
