Review on ๐Ÿงฆ Strassburg Sock Regular Size - White | Fits Calf Size up to 16in by Andres Mayes

Works as advertised - instantly eliminates the 'painful first step'

I have had persistent plantar fasciitis in my right foot for the past 6 months and nothing has seemed to help. I bought custom orthotics and special shoes, did exercise therapy, rolled my foot on a bottle of frozen water, tried compression stockings, etc. The only thing I didn't try was a hard plastic night splint that my orthopedist sold me. No matter how I adjusted it, it felt like a medieval torture device. I couldn't wear it for more than fifteen minutes at a time, let alone sleep in it. Then I tried the Strasbourg sock. He pulled my fingers back so my foot stayed in a flexed position, but he did it gently and comfortably. I could sleep in it easily and wear it whenever I sat at the computer or watched TV for a long time. I found that using it in this way immediately eliminated the "painful first step" I experienced when getting up in the morning or after watching TV for several hours. The packaging states that according to a large peer-reviewed study, the median recovery time was 18.5 days. I got significant relief after about a week and after a month I was 90% better. I will continue to wear it at night until I feel pain in my leg. I had no problems landing. My calf was about 15 inches in circumference and the 16 inch sock fit well without feeling too loose or too tight. No need to pull it into the "L" position like a hard plastic toe. A simple withdrawal of the toe is enough to stretch the plantar fascia and get relief. $40 for a sock might seem like a lot, but the relief I got was priceless.

Pros

Cons
