Review on Garmin Vector Pedal Based Power Silver Sports & Fitness by Samuel Nguyen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The pedals work perfectly after following the recommendations

My wife and I had two pairs of Garmin Vector 2 pedals. I've shifted them between the bikes we keep on our sneakers and the bikes we ride on the street. Moving both sets of pedals and Vector 2 pods between bikes took a while when we just wanted to get on our bikes. I wanted to buy 1 pair of pedals that would be easier to change. I looked at all options. My choice fell on Vector 3 and Assioma pedals. I chose Garmins because I have used many Garmin products and have been quite happy with their products and support. They are also designed to accommodate Look spikes found on several pairs of cycling shoes. By purchasing a pair of Vector 3 pedals I was able to mount the Vector 2 pedals on two of my wife's bikes and I only had to move the Vector 3 pedals between my bikes which is much faster. I struggled initially and was very disappointed with the power peaks. and dropouts. I've read some Garmin blogs and suggestions on how to fix pedal issues. I've done the following two things and had no problems for several weeks riding 3-4 times a week: Cleaned the battery contact points with alcohol. Apply a drop of baby oil to the contact points. Pedal My wife and I have the same gear on bikes on sneakers. We show identical performance values between Vector 2 and Vector 3 with the same gear at the same cadence (and speed).

Pros
  • Easy installation
