i don't have curly hair but i have over 3ft of thick wavy hair and i'm pretty sure this brush kept me from banging my head shave . I got the WORST flu and was bedridden for about 9 days. My hair was tied in a bun when it happened, and in short, the feverish sweat and tossing and turning made my hair at the back of my head a terrible mess. I've seriously considered shaving my head. None of my other brushes stood a chance. I searched and searched online and decided to try this type of brush because it looked a bit like my favorite brush that my friend had kind of lost. It works out! If he can get through this hot mess, he can get through anything. It's durable, well made, convenient to use and for the price I'm not sure you can do better. I'll order a few more in case they're out of production, as always when you finally find something you really like. I would give 10 stars if I could. Good product.
