This cast iron teapot with blue flowers is good but I wish it was a little bigger, about two cups. Holds 4 measuring cups of liquid, but overflows slightly. A loose tea insert seems to work, but I haven't tried it. I have loose leaf tea, but it's from a company that claims their tea bags have the same effect - the tea leaves/twigs are definitely large. The instructions for the kettle say not to put it directly on the stove (this was a question in the reviews I think). The instructions also say not to leave tea in the kettle for more than an hour. I'm not sure I understand why that is as the inside is ceramic and what it could mean unless they relate to the strength or quality of the tea after an hour. They also say not to use soap, instead pouring boiling water over it for cleaning before first use. As I understand it the soap is cast iron but not the inside. The HANDLE is great - one of the main features I was looking for - it doesn't get hot. However, the little round thing on the lid gets VERY HOT. All in all, it's a lovely teapot that I don't have to worry about chipping, but I'll probably keep looking for another one. Bought 3/2018
