Review on Filson Dryden Backpack Otter Green Backpacks by Emily Johnson

Disappointed, looks like a cheap bag

I returned this bag. This bag looks very cheap. I didn't expect anything like this from a $225 bag. I've seen $50 backpacks that seem to be more durable. The material is very thin. The bottom is not reinforced. The straps are not comfortable, thin. The mesh on the straps looks fragile and is easily damaged. The leather handle at the top of the bag is not double stitched, nor are the rest of the stitching. The only double stitching on the bag is for zippers. The main compartment zip is very tight, especially in the corners. Difficult to open with two hands, not like one hand. The fabric covering the main compartment zip just makes it harder to open. I drive 100,000 miles a year for work and there's no way I can handle that. This can be a good bag if your community drives from your home to your office. If it was $70 I might have kept it, but it's not worth $225.

Pros
  • Tiger leather top handle. Reinforced bottom plate for extra durability.
Cons
  • I have no complaints about it, everything is fine
