When I opened it up I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was made. Mounting hardware is included, but if you live in an old house like me, you'll still need to make a few modifications to install it (especially the main I/O cable. I had to drill a hole and run the cable through, which I think is pretty standard but you need to make sure you place it in a spot where you can reach the end of the cable as it's only a little over a foot away.The PSU is 10 feet long so you should also connect it you can connect ethernet but to do this you must have access to the end of the cable from the camera the cable from the camera is just over 1ft long it branches out 3 ways 1 for power 1 for Ethernet and a reset button.You just have to flip it open so you always have access to the break point.Suggest to the manufacturer that they make this main cable 10ft long with h break at the end or make it 100% modular anyway sob as soon as i installed it and started playing with it, i fell in love, this item was a great buy for the price! Motion activation works very well on my porch, night vision brings clarity to things located away from my porch, video clarity is good within reason, I won't say there isn't room for improvement in all aspects. Device, but for this price range really very good. Finally, you get the functionality you need for a very small investment. I enjoy playing with the app and its notifications work great. This item is a steal at this price!
