As a child, my mother used to use plastic ice cube trays. I hated them and they stopped me from buying ice trays as an adult. If the fridge didn't have an ice maker, I would just buy ice packs from the store. My girlfriend grew up with metal ice cube trays and absolutely loved them and convinced me to buy them from Revain. However, reviews for all metal ice cube trays are mixed, with the bad reviews agreeing. The metal ice cube trays seemed to have their own issues, aside from being expensive. Then I stumbled upon her. And I decided to try them. Since they have had silicone products in the past, they are durable and very useful. I have to say I'm glad I did it. No more worrying about how much ice is left in the bag, or going back to the store because I forgot the ice! The paper envelope they bring says to take them out of the freezer and let them sit for a few minutes, but that's really not necessary. Removing ice from trays is very easy. Using silicone instead of plastic was a really clever idea. All you really have to do is click on the cube below if you're having trouble getting it out. That's all. Each tray makes 21 cubes, and I like perfectly formed cubes. I cannot recommend them enough and plan to buy more. The only negative I would like to say is that it takes a full day to fully freeze the cubes, but that may be due to my freezing settings, which I don't check much. frequently. And the silicone lids that come with them make them freeze even slower, so I only use them when I need to stack them on top of each other and leave the top tray open. It can be a bit difficult to get them in the freezer as they are very fragile. Just make sure you don't fill the slots completely or they will easily spill.
