Review on ⚙️ RAM Mounts RAM-B-367U Motorcycle Handlebar Clamp Base: Convenient Attachment with M8 Bolts & B Size 1" Ball by Gilbert Pfaff

I have made hundreds of purchases and never write reviews but I think I can help a lot of people. I bought this kit for my Harley knowing it came with M8 bolts. I called Ram and they don't currently make a 5/16 kit for non-metric bikes. Nothing against metrics, but they alienate a large market here. Anyway, I have monkeys on my bike and wanted to keep a clean look. I only use an inverted mirror on the left. So I had an open hole where the right mirror used to be. I then wanted to use an old mirror nut to match the one on the left mirror. I was able to find a matching threaded 5/16 at my local Fastenal store, part number 23826, for $0.98. This is a 5/16-24 x 2-1/2 bolt that allows you to use your standard acorn nut in the place of the factory mirror. It looks cleaner and makes things easier since you don't have to mix and match screws if you ever take them apart. As for the X grip, it works great. I was very nervous about putting a $1,000 phone in it, but I was starting to feel better. It stays consistent at 70+ mph. I never thought I'd need it, but after getting lost on the side of the road and googling my way a few times, I decided to give it a try, especially for the trips I'm on have a schedule. Almost every review I found was about low-speed off-road bikes, bikes with windshields or fairings. It's a real fist in the wind and it works.
