Water tastes like chemistry

This is not good if you plan to drink water. I've filled both multiple times and then let them air dry, but the water still has a chemical taste. They are absolutely useless to me as I bought them to transport drinking water on hikes. I can't say how durable they are as they haven't actually been tested. I filled them up at my house to test, so they never got taken anywhere.
