I used my Thunderbolt port on my laptop with a USB-C cable (remember, you need to use a USB-C cable that can carry video and power, so your phone charger probably won't work). It comes with one, but I use my own higher quality braided cables. I took it with me when I traveled to work away from my home office. It fits in my backpack (barely) next to my laptop (it's longer than my 15 inch laptop). The screen reminds me of a typical business-class laptop screen. That matte screen that you can see on the old ThinkPad, for example. Everything OK. It does the job. But it's significantly inferior to the screen on my laptop, but I bought it for its portability and easy cables, and in that regard it's perfect.
