Clever and fun idea - Make a button similar to Staples' "It was easy" button, but make it customizable. Click to play, but when it's in record mode, the button will record. It's as simple as that, and it works, but there's an obvious improvement you shouldn't miss: every recording you take is also accompanied by a key-release sound, which produces an audible clicking sound. All they had to do was not play the audio in the very last moments of the recording. It's still fun. Another issue is that it's a bit smaller than I expected. Other than that, it's great. And it came with batteries! Another nice bonus.
