Review on Enhancing Sleep Experience: MOITA Sleep Headphones Bluetooth Sleep Mask - Black by Alvaro Delic

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great headphones but with some pretty major limitations

This is a very decent mid-range product but suffers from some completely obscure design decisions. Comfort is fair. I can see the bottom so it doesn't block 100% of the light as advertised. But it blocks about 95% of the light. It shouldn't be worn too tight either as I found it really pinches the nose/forehead when you tighten it but is very comfortable to wear on your side or in any position. The product info says they are machine washable as long as you remove the electronics of course. This is not true and this blatant lie is the reason why this product got almost 2 stars instead of 3. This is false advertising, folks. You can remove the image after I leave this review, but it was there when I posted this. See photos of my review. The headphones have no noise cancellation. Maybe they meant a microphone in talk mode, but I didn't call them so I didn't appreciate it. But no, these are ordinary non-noise canceling headphones. To be honest, the sound quality is surprisingly good. Like some other reviewers, I use them for ASMR audio files before bed or for moderation, and they're good enough to work for that purpose. They sent via Bluetooth no problem at all the first time. However, I have subtleties in the operation of the device. First you should know that you press forward or backward to skip a track and adjust the volume that you hold forward or backward. You read that right, and it's objectively wrong. The volume is what you want to adjust exactly, so pressing the button to decrease or increase the volume by 1 dot would be the best implementation. Holding down the buttons should be used to skip tracks, as it's pretty clear when a new track starts playing - it doesn't require precision. It gets one star for that crazy control scheme. And finally, remember I said they're great for sleeping? It was half true. When the earbuds are turned on, paired, disconnected or turned off, the ultra-loud computer voice will say "POWER ON", "PAIRING", "POWER OFF" etc. This is a special sleep/night product. If the device turns off while you're sleeping or loses the Bluetooth connection, you'll be woken up, so keep that in mind. There is no way to disable this voice or turn it down, as far as I know it is not mentioned in the included instructions. The only other oddity is that when plugged in it always adjusts the volume to a specific and fairly loud volume, but I couldn't tell if it was a player or headphones. Tip: Adjust the playback volume on your device, not on these headphones. Terrible user interface. I like them enough to keep them, I don't reconfigure mine and still use them but my advice is, looking for a kit without all those horrible design gaffes.
