Review on AMD Ryzen 3900X 24 Thread Processor by Adam Nikodem ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A very high-quality product, I take it not for the first time.

Before that, I used a WORKING RAM from an old computer. 4 sticks of 8 GB. The computer was constantly thrown into the blue screen. I had to change. Achieved stability with Kingston HyperX FURY Black 3200 2pcs x 16. But that's not all. I work with video in Edius 9 video editor and it constantly crashes after 10 minutes of work. The problem turned out to be the voltage of the processor. He gave out 1.49 on the machine. Due to this, the frequency of the processor was walking from 3300 to 4800 on the machine. And it somehow clashed with the editing program. All other programs worked stably. What did you do. Conducted tests, the montage works without crashes on voltage from 1.2 to 1.3, everything above leads to failures, freezes and, at best, crashes to the desktop. When the speedboost is on, the voltage can be left on the machine, it sets 1.49. And everything works stably, the frequency of the processor is fixed at about 4330 and the program works without glitches. So it goes. Then I read on the forums that 1.49 is too high voltage for this processor. Which causes software failures for many. I set everything up at the end of February, now April 4th. So far there hasn't been a single glitch.

Pros
  • The processor is worth the money. I took it in January - February, at a VERY nice price. Together MPG X570 G + , 32 GB of RAM. I am engaged in video editing, I work on EDIUS 9 (by the way, I grabbed a lot of problems with this, more on that in the comments below) I also use AE, Davincy resolve . And of course, I play sometimes. Despite the fact that I have a weak video card GTX 960. Everything flies pretty fast. In addition to editing programs xD Unfortunately, they load the percent by a maximum of 50%. And only EDIUS, when working in 4K and manipulating effects, shows that the percentage is loaded by 90-100%. Before that, he worked on intel 6700. Guys are heaven and earth.
Cons
  • It gets very hot, initially up to 80, a turret or water is a must. I took Noctua NH-D15 with 2 screws. Accordingly, the body had to take a giant. NOW THE FEET ARE CONSTANTLY COLD xD I managed to achieve work at 70 degrees (this is natural in work, in idle time somewhere around 40), I lowered the voltage.
