Review on 🎧 JVC Xtreme-Xplosivs HAFX1X Headphones by Tui Achara ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Average purchase, there are some things to complain about.

After using the Sennheiser Street 180 for more than two years, I decided to upgrade (changed them every six months due to breakdowns). When I turned on these JVCs, my initial impression was that I should just toss them into the pits of hell. The sound reminds me of something being stirred in a pot. Horror. I came to the conclusion that a knockoff had been bought, but after reading the testimonials, I discovered that some customers advise turning the volume all the way up and letting it sit for a while before using it. In order to accomplish this, I utilized the prodigy 2022 and the underworld 2022. After three or four sessions spanning a number of hours, it appeared to me that the sound was getting better, so I modified the settings of the player (a Sansa clip combined with rockbox). The other day I put on the old sinhas, and that's when I discovered how inadequate they are in comparison to this JVC. The massiveness of the headphones themselves is one of the significant negatives; they do not fit very comfortably in the ear and slightly irritate the auditory canal. Another significant negative is the lack of elasticity in the wire (it seems that it slightly began to loosen the connector in the player). As the air temperature dropped, the problem of the wires' inability to maintain their elasticity got even more severe; as a result, the wires protruded even further like stakes, and the pancake was lost. The music never fails to put a smile on my face. Following the onset of cold weather, the wire sheath ruptured at the point where it connects to the earpiece. Subsequently, the wire itself snapped, and the sound stopped emanating from the device. The end, after a period of half a year had passed. I went ahead and downgraded the ratings for everything by one point, and I won't be using headphones of this type ever again.

Pros
  • sound, construction quality, and cost
Cons
  • massiveness, and ergonomics that aren't the best
