Review on On Stage MC7201 Round Base Microphone Stand - (White) by Jason Childs

I just replaced my tripod mic stand on the MS7701B tripod with this MS7201B and I immediately liked this one a lot more. The round base takes up much less space than a tripod base and feels much more stable; Even when tilted nearly 45 degrees, the weighted round base stands upright, but the tripod stand falls down with the mic. I bet it will still be more stable than a tripod even with the addition of a pole like the On Stage MSA7040TB Top Mount. Additional stability can easily be added by placing free weight plates on the base with the bar running through the centre.
