I have a tiny tub with a pedestal sink, so storage space is tight. I bought these after years of struggling with an electric toothbrush left on the sink. It's perfect. The plate on the existing GFI fits without cutting. Simply replace the short head screws with the included 6/32 screws. Remember this is a lightweight shelf so use common sense when choosing a load. The strength of the shelf depends on the strength of the accessory box that your socket is attached to. As an electrician I would not recommend using it on a "push in" box that is only held on by crimp clips. If you tighten it, the box will most likely slide out of the wall. For best results, only use the device on a studded box if you plan to put more than a few pounds on it.
