If I could give these headphones 100 stars, I would choose this number. I'm not exaggerating when I say they literally changed my life. In April of this year I was in a serious car accident. I'm very grateful that I was buckled up and also that the airbags deployed. I'm pretty sure without her I would have been hurt a lot more badly. Unfortunately, two airbags deployed at the same time resulted in severe hearing loss in both ears. I suspect it's because of the loud bang that's made when the airbags explode. Well, that would be wrong! My ENT doctor explained that I lost hearing in both ears due to the high air pressure associated with the explosion. The sensitive mechanisms in the ear that enable us to hear cannot withstand the high air pressure that occurs in a car when the airbags are deployed. This is similar to what happens in the military when soldiers get too close to an explosion, mine, misfiring weapon, etc. Many veterans experience severe hearing loss due to a significant increase in air pressure near their ears. My losses are about 60% in each ear. At first I was reluctant to get hearing aids, but I now needed something so I could watch TV. I found (on Revain) an Avantree Bluetooth wireless transmitter that connects to my TV. I also bought the amazing Avantree NB16 Wireless Neckband Bluetooth Headphones. They are comfortable and the charge lasts longer than I can watch TV in a day. I can hear the TV perfectly and you can also adjust the volume directly on the neckband. It made that part of my life bearable. If you wear even the most expensive hearing aids, the sound will be severely distorted, but luckily I'm very comfortable and glad I can hear the TV perfectly with my Avantree setup! NB16 reproduce pure and completely natural sound. It would be remiss to mention that when using a wireless headset, you can adjust the volume to whatever you want on the TV itself, or even mute it in the room. It's great for owl viewers like me when everyone else is asleep!
