If you have a nylon washer/nut that doesn't fit well, get one and you'll probably be dealing with a leaky fitting.
I had a slow drip on my kitchen sink water line. I replaced the nylon washers, thinking a new set would fix the problem. It didn't help. I then ordered it, fitted to a leaky faucet (drip only after hot water was on for a few minutes). The rubber washer was tested with a full load of hot water in the sink, a dishwasher drain and water inlet from both sides. No more drops. drops. Drops destroy the closet more. So glad I found her.
