Well, as a visual person, I found the product photo very appealing. I also love glassware. However, when I opened it up, it looked pretty bland. But that's the only downside Pros: Very solid, good construction Improves the taste of decent quality wine Attracts the attention of everyone at the table Cons: Not very attractive when empty Doesn't improve the taste of cheap wine I don't have a wine cork. My wife and I don't usually down a bottle in one sitting, so the latter may or may not apply to you. Also note that this will hold a full bottle of wine so the base is quite large even if you plan to put it in the fridge. These are just observations to keep in mind, not pros or cons. If you already love decanters and don't mind the look of plain glass then this is a very good job.
