Bowl glazed interior, untreated porous terracotta exterior. The shells are light and fragile. I have them stacked in stacks of four in my closet next to the molds. Haven't used them yet and today the mold fell off and hit one of the crush cups causing the entire stack of four to fall out of the cabinet onto the laminate counter 12 inches below. All 4 bowls shattered into pieces and tiny shards of terracotta splattered all over my kitchen - in my freshly prepared dinner, on my stove top, over the counter across the kitchen and all over the floor. (I've dropped ceramic plates and utensils from a similar distance onto a laminated table with no damage.) These bowls are not for real kitchen use and were a waste of money and now I'm past the return date and never got around to them. use them. And I have to throw away my dinner! Super annoyed.
