Review on Oransi OV200 Air Purifier White by Gina Robinson

I am in Ojai, California and have been dealing with fire and poor air quality for the past 9 days. After the evacuation I had to return home for work three days ago and ordered this after reading the reviews and reading many reviews on different websites. It arrived last night and has been working for the past 24 hours. It works well but not for the whole house, note the area = 400 square feet of space (I knew that when I bought it). I spent the whole night in my room waking up to the fresh air and when I opened my bedroom door this morning I smelled a good smell of smoke in the rest of the house. A big difference between my room where he worked and the rest of the house. I took it to my dining room this morning and left it on all day while I was at work, just got home and the place smells great. I've moved it to the living room now, that's better but still smells like smoke. Tomorrow I'll run it in the bedrooms to clean all the air. I live alone so one will do, but if I had a family I would order two and have them work in different parts of the house. For reference, my house is almost 1700 square feet. I've had a larger pad in the past because of my seasonal asthma and it was very bulky and I had to move it around and it always got in the way (I donated it because it handled my condition so well). This one is about half the size and seems to have the same efficiency in terms of air purification. My suggestion: two is better than one for a family if you don't want to move a block. I have and actively treat asthma and have a HEPA filter in my home heating/air conditioning system and it definitely improves that system. This device works with both HEPA and charcoal, with the latter removing odors. I know I will be using it during allergy season and I am sure it will improve my central system as well. Highly recommended.
