Someone ripped a flat off my bike the first week I had it. A normal theft. I put this on my new plate along with the steel backing. I didn't bother with the security screws. I used stainless steel bolts, nuts and a lock washer. If someone wants to remove it, they need two wrenches. A year later, my plate is still there. Also, the black hasn't faded or cracked after 5,000 miles. For only $20 it did what I needed it to do.
