everything just works. About a year ago I tried to buy a Rode NT1 but got no signal. I tried 3 different interfaces and 3 different XLR cables but couldn't figure out which product was faulty. I saw that Rode came with this kit with literally everything you need to get started and I took it. Everything was plug and play for me. I didn't have to install any drivers. Windows picked everything up by itself and I had no problem launching the DAW right away to test that everything worked. Although I checked the Rode website and have since updated the drivers for the AI-1 interface. If you are starting out and looking for quality products, look no further. This gives you everything you need to get started. No more excuses or headaches about which gear to buy! EDIT: I've been using this for about 2 months now and there's a weird bug in the audio where the output to my headphones/earphones becomes automatic for a few seconds when the sound starts. I'm not sure what to do with it. Edit 2: It's been a while since my last edit and to be honest I don't even know what I was complaining about anymore. However, everything was fine and I'll be using this setup for many years to come. Sounds great and I've had 0 issues.
