Makes more noise than the Super Bowl. Block defective?

This setup produces so many gurgling, popping, scratching digital noises that all recordings are completely unusable. It's difficult to pinpoint where exactly something is going wrong in the signal chain. I ran to the store to get a 10ft Monster XLR cable and that helped a bit as the one that came with was probably a little damaged and the new one was significantly shorter. The 1/4" instrument input was almost usable, but still 5x louder than my Apogee Jam. Overall I think the most likely…

Ideal. No more excuses!

everything just works. About a year ago I tried to buy a Rode NT1 but got no signal. I tried 3 different interfaces and 3 different XLR cables but couldn't figure out which product was faulty. I saw that Rode came with this kit with literally everything you need to get started and I took it. Everything was plug and play for me. I didn't have to install any drivers. Great after firmware update

I needed a quality microphone for business calls and a quality audio interface to pair with. After watching and reading many reviews (particularly from the YouTube Podcastage channel) I settled on the Rode NT1 for the microphone and the AI-1 for the audio interface. I chose this particular combo pack because it was cheaper to buy a combo set than each item individually.
