Review on 🐠 10 Gallon Marina LED Aquarium Kit by Chris Young

I have had this tank for about five months now and I really like it. There are some features I'd like to change but I don't know what to look for when ordering this tank so I think it's great for a newbie like me. Pros: - I like the all-glass construction. Reviews complaining about the price are likely comparing it to a plastic tank. Definitely worth paying for glass for the looks and durability of the tank - The black seal is wonderful - I had an algae problem early on and can only imagine how disgusting the silicone would look if it were clear - Sure packed, delivered quickly (with Prime) and in perfect condition. Very easy to set up and the instructions for new aquarists are amazing if like me you need help. The filter is very efficient and very quiet. I put it about 3 feet from my bed and it makes almost no noise. Cons: - The location of the filter is annoying - it's in the middle of the tank and can't be moved without replacing/removing the lid. That's probably the right place for it, but I'd like to be able to place it in the corner of the tank so I can decorate and hide it a bit. Once you add a heater next to it, you basically lose 1/4 of the tank's area. The heater has to be next to it so you can use the heating cable hole in the lid - annoying that the lid doesn't swing open. When cleaning the tank I have to balance it against the wall if I want to look inside the tank without a separate flashlight. It would be great if he could just turn around. Tips: - As other reviewers have mentioned, you will need gravel/substrate and a tropical fish heater. I would also recommend buying a bubbler. My plants were not doing well due to a lack of CO2.
