I work in IT and work with several PCs almost every day. This mouse didn't have any driver issues on any of them, and the optical reader didn't have any issues on any of the eligible surfaces I've used it on. It's also heavy enough to be used comfortably for long periods of time and small enough to be carried around easily. The USB receiver is also hidden in the battery compartment so that it does not get lost. Here are my 2 cons: 1. If you drop the mouse on a surface like concrete or asphalt, the rubberized body will be easily damaged. The range of a USB receiver is short and should be relatively unobstructed. It can work across the table if the pc is under the table, but that's about it. You can purchase a USB M to F extension cable to fix this. Do I recommend this mouse for everyday desk use: No As a portable laptop mouse: Yes!
