If you drop the mouse on a surface like concrete or asphalt, the rubberized body will be easily damaged. The range of a USB receiver is short and should be relatively unobstructed. It can work across the table if the pc is under the table, but that's about it. You can purchase a USB M to F extension cable to fix this. Do I recommend this mouse for everyday desk use: No As a portable laptop mouse: Yes!
