Review on GRAVE BEFORE SHAVE Viking Blend by Sarah Cox

Gentle, high-quality beard oil

Before buying this beard oil, I tried many balms, glosses and beard care products from well-known and trusted brands. While some were better than others, each left my beard waxy and/or greasy to varying degrees. In the end I gave them all up. However, I still wanted something to moisturize my beard and the skin underneath. A friend (and barber) recommended this special Grave Before Shave beard oil. I'm happy to report that his strong recommendation was spot on. TEXTURE/FEEL: This is a relatively thin oil that spreads easily and evenly throughout the beard. After use, the beard becomes much softer, silkier and easier to comb. It also helps keep the skin under my beard hydrated and soft. SCENT: Almost absent (as advertised). This is fine if you use other scents (via other toiletries) or just prefer an unscented beard. It has a *very* faint herbal flavor at best. BEARD CONTROL: This oil offers minimal control, but not as much as a beard balm. If your beard is very curly or has a lot of "flyaway" hairs, then a balm might be better for you. APPLICATION: It is better to use a boar bristle brush, but it can also be applied with bare hands. Use only a few drops! Little. BOTTOM LINE: I'm not against balms and conditioners, but they don't give the desired result. This particular beard oil is good quality and subtle.
