Review on πŸ”‹ Brydge 10.5 Keyboard for iPad Pro 10.5 inch - Gold: Backlit Bluetooth Aluminum Keyboard by Joseph Rasmussen

Great material but imperfect design

Although I was initially delighted with my purchase, the more I used it I realized that it wasn't what I was hoping for. Let's start with my first impressions: this keyboard looks and feels just as good as the iPad itself. It's a good weight and supports the tablet no matter how far you tilt it. It was packaged as nicely as Apple packages its products (see photos) and I was able to successfully register it for a lifetime warranty. Honestly, I think he's physically made to last. Everything was very easy to use. The grips on the tablet are firm, but at the same time the keyboard is easy to attach and detach from the tablet when needed. It took ten seconds to connect via Bluetooth from start to finish and I never had a problem. The color is as close as you can get to a pale golden apple, with only the slightest tint, but not noticeable unless you consciously compare the two. sides (see photo). That was actually very important to me and I was very happy with the color match. However, after a week of use, I found two major flaws that I don't think make it worth the money (even though I got it on sale and used a discount code). First, the buttons require a bit more "force" when pressed, which I'm not used to yet. I had to watch what I was typing because I kept skipping characters. Mine may have been defective, but for the price, I expect better key response. Second, with the keyboard connected, I can't reach the bottom of the tablet to swipe up and access the dock (and use some other features like split view). The keyboard physically blocks access to the bottom edge of the screen, requiring me to lift the tablet off the pens about half an inch before I can use this menu. To me, this is a major design flaw. The docking station is too important a feature to turn off with the keyboard attached. I wanted this keyboard to be my favorite because it looks and works really well, but in the end it just isn't practical and I decided to return it. Instead, I now use Earto, which is a lot cheaper but surprisingly much better in functionality.
