Review on ๐ŸŒ๏ธ MW8 Moon Wood โ€“ Premium Fairway Wood for Men and Women โ€“ Golf Club with Headcover โ€“ Approved for Tournament Play by David Caldwell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I prefer Moon Woods over my fairway woods and all the hybrids I've tried.

I have Moon Woods 25 and 21 degrees. I hit them way better than fairway woods or other hybrids I've tried. I find them particularly useful out of the rough. I sometimes cut woods on the fairway, but I rarely get even small cuts with these. However, I find that the shorter stick length and steeper swing path make them easier to push or pull, but overall I'm much more accurate and have fewer misses overall. I also find that the hammer shape is much easier to consistently set than hybrids. I personally don't find clubs with such a low height very useful for chipping close to the green. They shoot great out of the rough but I find it difficult to control distance when hooking. However, I've found the same trait to be great for low-flying shots over rough terrain and under trees when missing a fairway while moving. It took me quite a long time to get used to these beats. I often paint them very thinly at first. I think subconsciously it was just hard to accept the short length of the shaft. I find them fairly forgiving when hitting off center left or right, but with a face size of just 1 1/4 inches or so there isn't much room for error in the reverse direction. As a higher handicap player, I've struggled with fairway woods or hybrids for a long time and while it's not a miracle cure, it's a definite improvement for me. I pair them with Squire strike wedges and irons that are designed to have a more vertical swing path and I think that helps with the ease of consistency. I bought the discounted 25 direct from the seller which made it a steal and an improvement too.
